This is the name of my artwork: Aotearoa
Kia ora.
Last week we did a picture that we had to colour. The name of my artwork is Aotearoa. Red stands for Tūmatauenga and the blue stands for Tangaroa. I had added some patterns that I really liked. I have added into my picture some ngaru which are the waves of the ocean.
Walt: I have learnt the importance of the mangopare/hammerhead shark.
Kia Ora ko Sterling tōku ingoa. I am a year 6 student at Tāmaki Primary School. I am in a Bi-lingual unit and my class name is Te Puna Wairua. We have two teachers Whaea Lee-ann and Whaea Saf and we have a kapa haka tutor Matua Andre who helps out in the unit.

kaitiakitanga
This is the mahi that we did with Whaea Ariana. We did a research on the kaitiakitanga and its meaning and value to Te Ao Māori. Our reliever Whaea Ariana did a template of a mokomoko and i have filled in with the colours that have a special meaning to me.
Red stands for the Māori flag Tino Rangatiratanga and the blue stands for my favorite colour and for Ranginui our sky father. Walt: I know why being a kaitiaki is so important to me.
